ASUS TUF Gaming BE9400 is designed for gaming networks and high-load environments, with tri-band WiFi 7, 2.5G connections, game prioritization mechanisms, and an advanced security suite.

Tri-band WiFi 7 with speeds up to 9400Mbps

The router supports WiFi 7 (802.11be) and offers a total speed of up to 9400Mbps: up to 5764Mbps at 6GHz, up to 2882Mbps at 5GHz, and up to 688Mbps at 2.4GHz.

It supports 320MHz, MLO, and 4096-QAM, along with OFDMA and Beamforming. According to the specs, this combination allows for coverage of up to 2500 square feet.

Four 2.5G connections and strong hardware performance

The connection array includes one 2.5Gbps WAN port and three 2.5Gbps LAN ports, along with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection.

The router is equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 256MB of Flash memory. The antenna array includes six fixed external antennas, in a 2×2 configuration on each of the three frequencies.

Gaming-specific features

ASUS TUF Gaming BE9400 features a dedicated Gaming Port, Game Boost / Acceleration, Mobile Game Mode, Gear Accelerator, and OpenNAT with gaming profiles.

In addition, there is the option to prioritize a game with one click and simpler Port Forwarding, in order to reduce the need for complex settings.

Security, VPN and AiMesh

The security suite includes ASUS AiProtection, Router Security Assessment, Malicious Website Blocking, and Two-Way IPS.

The router supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Personal and Enterprise, DNS-over-TLS, SSH, Firewall, and Security Scan.

The VPN suite includes WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, VPN Fusion, Instant Guard, and support for Surfshark and NordVPN.

Flexible network for a smart home and multiple users

With Smart Home Master, you can set up dedicated networks for IoT devices and VPN. In addition, there are parental controls, Safe Browsing, Web & Apps filters, network access scheduling, and a guest network.

The router supports AiMesh and can operate as a main router or an AiMesh Node. Working modes include Router, Access Point, Repeater, Media Bridge, and AiMesh Node.
