ASUS DRW-08D6MT – Compact 8X Internal DVD Writer with M-DISC and Improved Airflow Design

The ASUS DRW-08D6MT is a half-height internal DVD burner designed to fit more comfortably into computer cases while maintaining compatibility with existing 5.25-inch bays.

Compact structure for improved airflow

One of the model’s key advantages is a depth shortened by approximately 30 mm compared to standard 5.25-inch Half-Height DVD burners.

The compact design creates more clearance for airflow around the processor, helping to maintain a stable working environment even when the system is operating under load.

Better compatibility with cooling systems

The compact dimensions of the ASUS DRW-08D6MT provide additional space for installing cooling components at the top of the case.

According to the specifications, the model allows space for 120 or 140 mm top fans, as well as for an AIO liquid cooling system up to 280 mm in size, depending on the case structure.

Simple installation and compatibility with existing enclosures

The burner maintains compatibility with existing 5.25-inch bays, so it can be integrated into suitable cases without the need for a unique installation structure.

The kit also includes a 15-pin to 6-pin Slimline SATA power cable, allowing for a more convenient connection to the power supply.

M-DISC support and energy saving

The model supports M-DISC technology, designed for ultra-long-term storage of photos, videos, and data for up to 1,000 years, according to the specifications provided.

Additionally, ASUS E-Green technology is integrated, which automatically closes the drive application when not in use and allows for more than 50% energy savings.
